Would you vote for a divorcee for President?

I did not vote for Kerry.

Did you vote for Reagan?

I couldn't vote yet in 1984.

Would BUSH nominate a divorcee to the Supreme Court? I think it would anger his base.

Give me a break. The base voted, like never before or since, for Ronald Reagan the divorcee.

but your nomination was not bogged down by a threat of filibuster in the Senate, and while your confirmation was not unanimous, Senators Kohl and Feingold voted in favor of your confirmation

She breezed through the Senate because the Democrats knew that if she was appointed to the 7th Cir., Gov. Doyle could appoint a liberal to the Wisconsin Supreme Court and make it a left-wing majority. And just look at all of the damage they've done just this year.

I wish I could have voted for Reagan, twice.

I was way too young in 1980 and 1984.

Hey Vast,

If we outed a judge as a freeper, it would torpedo their nomination.....

We are more hated/feared than the Federalist Society.

I wish I could have voted for Reagan, twice.

I started voting in 1982, so I voted for Reagan in 1984. I voted against Governor White in 1982, but he won anyway. He screwed up so much over the next four years that a very weak candidate in Bill Clements routed him soundly in 1986. Of course, in 1990 we had the idiot Clayton Williams running against Ann Wrinkles. After Williams won the primary he should have simply taken a 5 month vacation from campaigning and simply had his campaign rerun the primary ads of Ann's opponents in the dem primary, and he would have run going away. Instead he made blunder after blunder on the campaign trail, from reminiscing about crossing the border into Mexico during his college days to get "serviced" by the prostitutes, to likening bad weather to rape with his infamous "if it's inevitable you might as well lay back and try to enjoy it" comment, to refusing to shake Ann's hand and calling her a liar (which she was) right after telling reporters to "watch this". I have not missed a presidential, gubernatorial, or congressional election since 1982, and I think there was ONE time when I voted for a democrat -- against a RINO DA that refused to prosecute drunk drivers even though the state of Texas had strengthened its drunk driving laws requiring strict prosecutions.

I was just joking with Diana. I was surpised she was not the one that posted this because usually any thread about Wisconsin is posted by her.

We ALL know that the honorable judge is not our lovely Diana in Wisconsin. And even if she is we are still sticking with my statement.

Was that picture taken in 1958?

She's 47 years old, or was in July at least. In 1958 was likely the year she was born, the year after at most.

What about Ronald Reagan? Nancy was his second wife. Jane Wyman was his first wife.
