This story ran on nwitimes.com on Monday, October 3, 2005 1:24 PM CDT
CHICAGO (AP) -- A five-car train being used by Chicago Transit Authority workers derailed early Monday, disrupting the morning commute for tens of thousands of North Side residents.
No injuries were reported, and service was fully restored by 12:30 p.m. Investigators did not immediately know what caused the train to derail.
The train derailed just before 3 a.m. near the Belmont Avenue station, a transfer point for commuters who use the Red, Brown and Purple lines, CTA spokeswoman Kimberly Myles said.
Another train derailed for no known reason.
Lots of fires in the west, all with no known reason for them starting.
Thank you for the links above, I see they are still attempting to alert us of a possible nuclear attack.
