I believe the news blackout is to give LE time to sort through all the evidence before going public with their findings.

Right you are. Also, they don't want to create a panic at campuses across the country or a backlash against muslim students (and there are many). The facts will come out. I do believe it is exactly what it appears to be -- a jihad suicide, but not an organized one. Young males are being recruited at mosques and through the internet. Though not directly linked to AQ, their mission is the same. IMO

In my experience the folks at the CO Springs Gazette are very liberal leaning. One of the editoral writers there is the sister of Diana DeGette a Democrat rep. IMHO photoshopping a pic to make it look as if Hinrichs was Islamic is the LAST thing they would want to do. If there was an agenda being served it would be more to their liking to paint a picture of a "right wing militia" guy vs. and Islamic Jihadist...

Calpernia knows a lot about the Coptic Christian family who were slaughtered in NJ. A relative of theirs was a translator in the trial of some sheik who was involved in the first WTC bombing IIRC.

Nope, just random theives slaughtered the whole family and, also IIRC, slitting some throats.

Measures that should be taken by the undercover member:

#2. Have a general appearance that does not indicate Islamic orientation (beard, toothpick, book, [long] shirt, small Koran).

It is on record that the upstairs tenents murdered the Coptic family. (drugs)

The family being related to Lynn Stewarts prosecuting translator during the trial is what makes me suspicious.

Well, he was a stupid American jihadist, what more could they expect...

We got the militia story on the radio yesterday by a "so-called" student that knew him from class. That didn't generate any legs at all here. He talked about how Joel was into guns and explosives and wore camoflouge to school like someone in the militia. That was on 930AM yesterday afternoon when I was in my car coming back from OU.

Sorry I should have explained that a bit more.

I think he shaved off his beard in order to blend in, as per the terror handbook or his handlers.

Someone commented up the thread that the landlords were Muslim and have since left the country. Do you know anything about that? Sounds narsty.

The Coptic family were the landlords.

There were Muslims that left the country but I believe that had to do with the online threats from PalTalk.

Thank you all for keeping this story alive. Every time I tell one of my colleagues about what happened in Norman, OK last weekend, their mouth drops open, and I hear, “I can’t believe I haven’t heard about this. That’s huge.”

It is huge, and a major part of the story, now, is the near totality of the news blackout.

How can that happen, today, with our much-vaulted independent press? Some speculations.

A. The Ministry of Truth said, “Spike it”. There may have been some of this, but I doubt that anyone in this administration would be able to get CNN to spike a story, especially if they had the will to go with it the first place. However, the Ministry of Truth can shut down all sources of reliable information, and they certainly have done that.

B. The Ministry of Football said, “Spike it”. This may be the largest component. I can imagine people at OU calling various MSM Sports Directors, not News Directors, and saying, “Are you sure you want to kill the fall football season?” This probably accounts for most of the alphabet networks and perhaps FOX.

C. “Who cares about flyover country?” I can see NYT, WaPo, LATimes thinking, “Yeah, and we don’t report it when Fred Ziffle falls into a combine, either”.

D. Why so little coverage on talk radio? Two words: Micheal Graham. Everyone here knows, once the subject come up, what the first call will be about. The second call will be from CAIR, and it won’t be to the screener.

E. There’s no angle into “All the news that fits our agenda”. It simply doesn’t hurt the President. In fact, especially if Hinrichs turns out to be little Johnny Jihad, people would again rally around the flag and his numbers might go up. We can’t have that, can we?

Note to future jihadi-wannabees: Put on a “George Bush hates black people” t-shirt, drive to the stadium in an SUV, and charge in with an assault rifle. You’ll get more press.

"The family being related to Lynn Stewarts prosecuting translator during the trial is what makes me suspicious."

Now I am really confused. I thought Lynn Stewart was that whacked out liberal defense attorney that passed info to some of the WTC 1 bombers?

Very well stated and I think your analysis is correct. After watching the interview with the Father, I have become totally convinced that there is an agenda at play. I think your comments about football season are totall true.

Bizarre response by the MSM is all I can say. Our local media is frustrated by lack of "on the record" comments.

Boren should have kept his mouth shut because his comments are not flying well. Maybe Tenent advised him since they are such good buddies.
