This kid could have been walking past some backpack when it exploded. That might explain the reports of "five others injured."

Or he could have been an unsuspecting mule.

The current story is that one of the bus drivers saw the bomber explode while sitting on a bench.

Hence the missing bench.

You beat me to it! I was just thinking the same thing, and am still looking for info on the 5 injured, a note from the guy, and more on the 2 running/dropping backpacks.
