How does one singular screwed up boy end up being the subject of a media story? If I wake up with a headache some morning, doesn't that also merit coverage? How about if my dog pees on the corner of the coffee table? That definitely SHOULD be covered since that is way, way, way more important than some sexually confused teenage with no adult supervision who wants attention from the media.

I live here, don't hardly ever read the free press or Detroit News(one in the same...

For my site I comb a different state everyday...http://www.refdesk.com/paper.html. Tonight I found it in a Nebraska rag. It is unbelievable the mentality of folks to even consider this kind of thinking.

Unfortunately it is not. You're correct IMO. There is obviously way too much time for thinking with these freaks...

I think this country is in desperate need of a good upheaval of some kind. I don't like to see people suffer but a good dose of reality is what some folks need. If people had to actually work hard to survive, it would keep them occupied enough to keep their minds off this kind of crap.

Amen -- you said exactly what was on my mind! These people have too much time on their hands.

How is it that the gender of this kid isn't beaten into him by his peers? At what point did we all turn into sissies and accept this crap?

Honestly, sometimes a lot of good can come out of a real pounding. It teaches cry-babies to quit whining, for one.

*sigh*

There comes a time when a man needs to act like a man, whether he wants to or not.

When our country went through one of the greatest economic booms in its history, so that no one had to work as hard anymore. Then we also had the cultural revolution which destroyed any sense of personal responsibility.

If you have a penis between your legs, you're a boy.

Paris Hilton must be a boy everyday.

Actually, there is no proof that gender orientation or gender identity are determined genetically. Recent thinking is that hormonal influences in the womb may have something to do with it. I agree that this guy has a problem, and I sympathize. I just don't see why society has to turn itself upside down to become as confused as he is.

I've heard similar things. Apparently there's the genetic component: having an X or Y chromosome, and there's the hormone wash that's experienced before birth that can cause some physical deformaties and make gender indeterminate. Those people I truly feel sorry for. The rest are just....well...confused.

Dang! I spend all those teenage years trying to place my gender into a simple box

Dang! You're gonna burn for that one.
Carry on.
