When Schmuckie came onto C-span 1 a minute ago...and said that "this is a good first step"....and Chuckie feels "hope"....it made my stomach hurt!!!!!
Not too thrilled, I was hoping for someone the dems didn't like and after hearing Reid's comments about Meirs I don't think the dems will put up a fight with her.
Hewitt's show should be good today though.
Meirs is on C-span in a speech in front of Republican lawyers from 4-22-05...
She is discussing how the Bush picks his nominees!!!

I am sure the dems will be going over this speech with a fine tooth comb, to see if they can find what they are looking for to "disqualify" her....UNLESS,
they see too much complaining by the conservatives...THEN, they might rush her through...

She has had a difficult professional career...but distinguised record professionally....

I'm watching to see how loud the RATS like kennedy, pelosi, and JUNIOR Ford scream about her. The louder they scream the more we will learn how conservative she is. FReepers will keep digging to turn up all they can on her.

Maybe we will get lucky and Stephens will die soon. Not that I wish ill or anything, but he is getting up there. He could fall and break a hip or something and then the President could appoint another Justice and maybe that one would be conservative enough for you. Keep the faith, baby!
