Let em filibluster... the agreement breaks down.. the nuclear option is applied and a qualified canidate makes the bench... and the END of minority threats of filiblustering court nominations.... which should not be able to filibuster in the first place.
The prob is the weakness in the Republican bench. Bush has a majority on paper, but in political reality, he can't count on all the R's to stand with him in a big fight.
It's not the Rats he's running from. It's that he knows he the quarterback of a team that only puts 8 men on the field. The plays have to adjust when there's only half an offensive line and half a defense.

I would ok with that if I felt comfortable about the nuke option succeeding. I am not sure it would work now. The GOP should have used it back on the earlier nominees. The stakes on Supreme Court are much higher now and I don't think we could count on any of the RINOs.
