In PA... we have a good Carry permit system. You go to the local Sheriff Dept, fill out a background check and you go home with it. I carry about 80% of the time.
The amazing thing is that the county sheriff told the wife of my buddy that they arrested 3 people in a week who were wanted on warrants who tried to get a carry permit.
If anything, carrying make me MORE cautous, because I don't go into bad neighborhoods looking for trouble. I advoid them completely. Most of my friends who have a CCW permit feels the same.
