IMHO: There are Americans who happen to be black(see Thomas Sowell,Walter Williams,Ward Connerly, and of course Trueblackman) and professional Africans(see Jesse jackson, Sharpton, etc.)
Does that mean Ter-ay-za is an African-American too?
More like "red" for ketchup and Socialism. (assumming you are refering to John Effing Kerry's wife)
"assumming" hmmmm, spell check is your friend only if you use it.
I use the term black, since it was in common usage while I was growing up. If someone corrects me with the ridiculous term "African-American", I remind them about the existence of the Black Caucus, NAAC(olored)P(eople), and United Negro College Fund.
You're so right.. It should be the A.A.C and the N.A.A.A.A.
Also the U.A.A.C.F.
I agree with the points Ms. Parker wrote about in her article. She has much insight into what is being done in the name of "diversity", and what I call "group feel"! I don't think the US Constitution says that my "feelings" cannot be hurt and that I have the right not to be subjected to someone elses' comments. I think it is past time for these colleges and universities to drop ten and take a break on this kind of crap. 1st Amendment? My a**!!
