In the film "The Blues Brothers," Elwood and Jake claim they are on a "mission from G-d." In a film Texas prosecutor Ronnie Earle allowed to be made of his movements and thoughts leading up to the grand jury indictment of former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, Earle invokes the Bible and its teaching that the love of money is "the root of all evil." Earle says money in politics is "the devil's brew" and he claims his mission is to "turn off the tap."

I see an extremely arrogant Sean Penn as Earle.

Joe Pesci is too old and short. I think Tommy Lee Jones would be a good DeLay. He's also Texan too.

Whatever happened to Joe Pesci anyway? He hasn't been in a movie since Lethal Weapon 4.

This is what amazes me is how the liberals can continue to go after someone until they get what they want. If I were DeLay, I would sue the heck out the guy.

Earle invokes the Bible and its teaching that the love of money is "the root of all evil."

I wonder if during this process Earle isn't guilty of violating Congressman Delay's constitutional rights by establing a religion. He has based his efforts from the Bible.

On another thread, which was pulled for some reason, there was a lengthly article about Earle in Texas Monthly. A twenty minute read left me rolling and aching with laughter. The reason? Earle's new wife, Twila Hugley, which immediately brought to mind, Fugley. Imagine that; Twila Fugley.
