OKC was Jihadi Central-at least, domestically speaking-in the early 1990s.

That according to terrorism expert Steven Emerson.

Apparently, not much has changed.

In the eyes of the Muslim terrorists it's a win, win situation. Even if nothing happens, the infidels (all none Muslims) have still been filled with terror.

Bloomberg: This is the first time we have had a threat with this level of specificity.

Remember the odds are on your side.

How many bombers? How many cars? How many people? How many miles of track?

Of course, when your number comes up it does $uck the big one.

NYPD: Extra Security On Subways

Acting On 'Credible Threat' To Subway System

By Marcus Solis

New York -WABC, October 6, 2005) - The New York City police are responding to what they are considering a credible threat to the subway system.

Eyewitness News reporter Marcus Solis joins us live from the 96th Street subway station with the story.

Sources say that the NYPD has stepped up patrols on the city subways over the last couple of days - especially Thursday after developing information that has been deemed credible.

One source says that it may be 85 percent credible. Apparently the target is the New York City subways system - this information was learned after a raid between an FBI/CIA team in Iraq.

They arrested a number of people and apparently during that raid they learned information that New York City subways were perhaps being targeted. Because police have not been able to discount that threat they are taking it seriously and have deployed additional resources.

At the 96th Street subway station there are bag checks in place and we're also hearing that various officers from a number of different units have been told to report to staging areas where they are awaiting further instructions.

Whether or not they'll be deployed in the subway system is unclear.

Bloomberg saying a news agency had the info 2 days ago and were asked to sit on it so as not to hamper investigation efforts. Thanks them for cooperation. Ray Kelly up now.

Thanks, That coupled with the piece about how we got the info should make nice additions to my letter to G. Allen expressing my disappointment in his vote for the terrorist detention restrictions. I'd write Warner too but he's a lost cause. Besides I'm not wasting a 30some odd cent stamp for a msg that's only going to continue 2 words (hint: one starts with an F)

If this attack comes off, it will be interesting to see how fast the senators that voted yesterday to guarantee "rights" for these people will run from that moral high ground.

Their "moral high ground" actually being located in the midst of a political swamp.

Emerson's book is the first one I read after 9/11; and one of the first people the FBI called after 9/11.

Too bad they didn't listen to him after OKC.

Can you imagine the number of call they're about to receive? Legitimate and crank?

Man, I can't stand Bloomberg. He talks so condescendingly.

You mean he READS so condescendingly. I don't know that he can speak off the cuff.
