I think Bush appointed a moderate in Miers. I believe she will be very conservative and a great defender of the Christian church. I do not believe, however, that she thinks Roe v. Wade needs to be overturned.
I understand the Conservatives who are upset and I am as pro-life as they come but I don't think our country should overturn Roe v. Wade.
I think we need to focus on reducing the amount of abortions in America they have gone up every year under my President who tells me his is pro-life.

I don't think our country should overturn Roe v. Wade.It should be overturned, it's very bad constitutional law. It violates the clause in the Constitution stating that powers not enumerated in the document are reserved for the states and for the people. From a strict constructionist point of view, it needs to be struck down ASAP.

Plus she has shown no signs of being against racial preferences, if anything the opposite. The UofM decision will not be overturned on her watch, unfortunately.

I think we need to focus on reducing the amount of abortions in America they have gone up every year under my President who tells me his is pro-life. I think we need to reduce abortions in this country too, but there is a political aspect to this problem. It is legal to kill a baby in this country for nay reason, or no reason. As long as the government says it is okay to do this, people will do it.
So we need to attack the problem in several different ways, with a political and judicial strategy as one aspect.
