Well, John Dean did it to Nixon.
But that's not the point. The point is that Bush has just walked himself into a full blown inquisition about what private legal counsel that he, Cheney, Rove, Libby, etc may have received regarding Plame, Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, 9/11, war in Iraq, Katrina, etc etc etc...

The Democrats are going to milk this for all the Bush-bashing media attention they can. They'll be demanding the documents and the media will join them.

This is the stupidest move to date from the White House.

I respectfully disagree. Not fighting McCain - Feingold campaign finance reform is the stupidest move to date.

Dean agreed to testify to Congress that Nixon was guilty of covering up Watergate..

Surely you're not suggesting Bush has committed a crime and Miers will be testifying against him?
