So, counterpunch - please pick between these 2 hypotheticals: (A) Miers gets on the Court, Roe v. Wade is overturned this term, and the GOP retain majorities in both the House and Senate; or (b) Miers is withdrawn, Janice Rogers Brown's name is submitted, but never voted out of committee or filibustered, Roe v. Wade is never overturned, the GOP lose the House and Senate in 2006, GWB is impeached and convicted.

Your hypothetical is ridiculous.
You drew a strawman with crayons.
Roe v. Wade is not going to be overturned this term. Period.
There is no such case on the docket that would revisit it in full or even in part.
Miers will not be confirmed, and it is the prying into the White House legal advice given by Miers which would lead to any impeachment proceedings. The Miers nomination is what is tearing apart the GOP right now and that is what will lead to a Democrat sweep in 2006 if the bleeding isn't stopped.
The Democrats could not prevent a vote on Brown. A Supreme Court nomination is just too high profile to sweep under the rug. President Bush isn't going to be convicted over anything regardless of what happens.
