I do not think it makes any sense to be a homophobe, but I will defend to the death the right of any American to be a homophobe. What bloody use is the first amendment if one is not allowed to be a homophobe? As an American, it is a Constitutional right to be as big an ignorant or educated asshole as one wishes to be as long as one is not doing direct physical harm to another person.
Which is not per se a defense of homosexuality, but I do not see where homosexuality trumps the first amendment of the US Constitution. I should be able to hate who I wish without the government giving a damn.

Hmmm ... homosexuals are heterophobic. Why not? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, so to speak.

where are all the people who thought it was a good idea for one kid to smack another over a tshirt now... The commments you apparently disagree with are still where they posted them -on another topic where your comments might even be relevant -unless you have some agenda you wish to elaborate upon?

----Unfortunately,the Professor will surely be looking for work very soon, regardless of his "tenure" status.-----
On the local talk radio show in Seattle I caught a snippet of news about some student at Washington State University (or perhaps it was Univ. of Wash) that is a proud Christian and believes homosexuality is a sin (or something close to this).
It seems that to get into their Education Department (he wants to be a teacher) you have to take a teacher's apptitude test or something. I believe they said he failed the test and can't enter the department as he does not embrace diversity enough, or some such thing.

Whatever happened to Academic Freedom? The libs whine on and on about it when a radical leftist professor comes under any kind of criticism but the second a conservative prof opens his mouth they jump all over him like a pack of wild dogs. Hypocrites.
