Rush said on his show last Friday that he had met JRB at the Buckley bash and she told him he had no idea what it was like for a nominee to be filibustered for four years as she was.

I think the female who came in second was the CA judge from San Jose-a Hispanic. I think W wants the first Hispanic to be Gonsalez so she got passed over. I also think W "knows" that he will have one more slot to fill very soon and that is one reason he was anxious to pick someone that he deemed an easy confirmation and save the battle for the next one (or maybe even two).

Gawd, I hope he does not fill the last spot with Gonsalez. There would be a mutiny in the Republican Party. For Dubya's sake and the sake of the Party I hope he does not do that.
