NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier opened fire on a group of fellow soldiers during a morning exercise session at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, on Thursday but no one was injured at the Army base.
The soldier, whose name was not released, "is in custody after firing shots at a physical training formation" but no one was wounded, Fort Campbell said in a statement.
It provided no other details but said the matter was under investigation.
The facility, on the Kentucky-Tennessee border about 60 miles northwest of Nashville, is home to the 101st Airborne Division that has served in Iraq.
Unfortunately the DC sniper was a pretty good shot.
It was also the 101st where that Islamic Sgt fragged a command tent in Kuwait prior to the invasion of Iraq. My old unit is getting some rough press.

I went through that same Co. three months later in April `68.
Ft. Cambell had that Muzzi that fragged & killed a coupla of officers at the start of the war.Threw grenades in their tent.
Unless they specifically mentioned the muslim angle I was going to mention the same thing. People go nuts in boot camps, sometimes they lose while holding a semiautomatic assault rifle with a burst option.
