You may want to be a bit more careful on what you accuse McShame of. His involvement in the Forrestal fire was that his parked Skyhawk happened to be in the path of an inadvertantly-fired Zuni rocket.

I was doing a quick pull down to view the replies and see you handled it.

As I recall the fight deck tapes show he sliding down the nose of his aircraft as the fire burned all around it. A number of brave sailors lost their lives that sad day.
