1. The good and faithful priests assume the wayward ones will allow themselves to be saved.
2. Many gay males have "infiltrated" churches in order to change and persuade the masses opinion about homosexuality from within. Think Trojan horse, think about why they want to join the Boy Scouts as "leaders", mentors and every other traditional hetero organization.
Maybe what should be said is that half those who commit murder will perform homosexual acts or become homosexual in prison.

Some of the stats are highly dubious (Half the murders? Get real.), and the language is prejudicial. It doesn't help the credibility of the article at all, and makes the entire thing suspect.
