Glad you enjoyed it, I've sent that to a lot of folks and they usually like it.

I do think Bum Phillips wrote the piece you posted.

Texas is humble.

Well we're not humble but we do have a Humble, just NE of Houston. They have or had, a great German Restaurant.

Even Fisherman in the Farthest Reaches of Brazil on the Paranibia River know Texas and Texans I was told by some of those fishermen that Texans are the friendliest people in the world.

Thanks for this ping. I love it. I was born in Louisiana but have been in Texas for 37 years. Still love both states.

Wrong!!
Santa Anna is a little town between Coleman and Brownwood, famous for their yearly Bison Cook Offs.

Everything in Texas either bites, stings, itches, hurts or smells bad. Other than that it's a pretty good place.

Jealousy is not befitting a man of your intellect.

"Our capitol is the only one in the country that is taller than the capitol building in Washington, D.C..."

Waaaaall, this one isn't right, either - Louisiana's is taller still.

But Texas' DOES take up the most square footage.
