The attitude of the vast majority of Texans has always been that it doesn't matter where you come from, in fact, most of the best Texans were failures elsewhere first. All that matters is where you are and what you do when you get here. That's why George W. is Texan through and through.

Davey Crockett, at least the one who died at the Alamo, was born August 17, 1786 in a small cabin on the banks of the romantic Nolichucky River, near the mouth of Limestone Creek, which today lies about three and a half miles off 11-E Highway near Limestone, Tennessee.
