Lopez was remarkable to we kids that hung out at the back gate after every game, he would make the players stop and sign our caught balls and programs.. We would trade the signatures for hot dogs and stuff at the next game... :)
Two girls backed me into a corner demanding my money, late 60's. Luckily a bunch of guys noticed and scared them off. I suspect this kinda clouds my opinion of the SOX.
