The other way of putting it is that politics precedes military endeavor - Jefferson said that he studied politics so his son could study war."The media" - actually journalism, essentially - has almost perfectly coopted the Democratic Party; the distinguishing characteristic of all liberals is their assumption that PR is the only thing that matters in the world. In their universe it doesn't matter what is, only what is said - and how it is said. It doesn't matter if you bested me in a race, it only matters that I'm the one who reports it. I came in second, but you came in next to last!
How much have you actually heard about Afghanistan lately? In a year or so, you will hear no more about Iraq than that. No more than you heard anything of the Cold War after Reagan had won that.
Media bias bump.
