Well, of course, like most things in the Bible, it's subject to interpretation and the standards of the time. I just thought I would toss it out there. I find it interesting that the same people (not you) who tell me that they're just
words, insist on using them! Why is that word so prevelent? Why not use something else? I think there's a reason the F word is the cool word of choice.

Which is why it comes on at 9pm. little kids should be in bed! Or parents might want to know what they're watching. 'Course that would require parental involvement, much easier to ban the shows!

The F word can be used in more ways than any other. It can work as almost any part of speech. That is why it is so popular.

Is a section on their site where they pressure the fcc to fine or take away the licenses of broadcasters of things they don't like, and where they support various forms of legislation intended to do so.
Of course, as a strict contructionist, I believe that all of the content-control actions of the fcc are unconstitutional.
You could use ANY word the way the F word is used. It just wouldn't have the impact it does, because (and here is the important point) no other word has quite the shock value. In a generation or so, it probably will cease to be used because none of us old prudes will be around to be shocked anymore. Then they will find another word. It's pretty juvenile when you think about it.

Riiight. That's why the syndicated show runs at 5pm in some markets, because lots of adults are home watching TV at 5pm.
That's not the fault of the show's makers. Take it up with the local stations.
