Sorry folks, but I don't see the problem here. Corzine (a man of the people) has lots of money. OK lots and lots of money and apparently these black ministers are willing to sell their endorsement to the the highest bidder. So why not Corzine? Just another Republican witch hunt. Or at least a Republican INSPIRED witch hunt.
Democrat buying votes. No problem. Just normal Democrat politics.
Sheech. :D

" Yeah, nothing wrong with buying votes. The Demorats have been doing that with welfare for years"

You make a good point, and maybe I just didn't quite see it that way!

"Get a life"

Another one?

I have enough trouble living this one as it is!

Let me first say that I have no problem with Corzine donating to black churches,BUT, he donated to Christ Church which is based in Montclair, NJ. This church has 5,000+ members, and is predominantly black. This church has purchased property in my town, 18 acres of prime real estate in an industrial area, once owner by Hewlett Packard.

The problem here is that Rockaway Township (my town) is heavy republican/conservative. The church wants to relocate and build on this new property and this will not only screw up the tax base for this small semi-rural town, but it is going to increase traffic, pollution, crime, the adjacent property values will go down, there are environmental issues, and there will be an increase in DEMOCRATS. What better way to screw over your political enemies? We don't have the money to fight them anymore, and now they are saying the township and out mayor/council for resisting them in the first place. We will now have to hire more police and firemen to deal with the influx of people.

The problem is not that they are black, but what they are going to be doing to our town. We do not want a church of any kind built there, we need the income. We are getting royally screwed by these people, and we have legitimate reasons for not wanting such a massive, tax exempt, building project going on here. It is just too much for us, and you know that if Corzine is donating to it, then it have political motives. This church and their high priced lawyers are race baiters, and they have accused us of opposing them on racial grounds. I can assure you this is not true at all. I will try and look up more articles on this, and post them if I can.

Why is a person from Mississippi defending Corzine?

Do you follow NJ Politics much?

There is only one financial transaction that can and will do harm to NJ of Corslime is elected.

The $750,000 gift to his former squeeze, head of one of the most powerful unions in NJ

Corslime is going to get more than a roll in the hay for his money. He's going to get votes and we are going to get a good shafting.

One can only hope the voters see through all of this. His numbers dropped after that union story hit - so it did have an impact. I never thought he'd be running almost neck in neck with Forrester. I think we have a shot at winning this time around. Forrester needs to keep running those "Corzine raised taxes 133 times" ads.

Thank you.

Your explanation definiately puts it in a more interesting light and helps me to understand the reasoning behind it.

We need a near landslide to overcome the fraud.

I just hope that those who supported Schundler don't stay home on election day.

Cal - I'm trying to see the glass half full here. I can't stomach the thought of Corzine running the state.

I know. I'm not feeling too optimistic and it is showing.

I saw fraud while campaigning in the primaries.

I saw fraud occur on the radio station I 'use to' listen too.

I saw fraud during this race. I even tried getting involved. Nada. It is almost like the race itself is a hazing vs. a legitimate run.

You are right though. it is better to be optimistic.

...."I fail to see the significance".......

Maybe he's laundering the money between the legs of a hot union steward(ess) that he's been banging on the side.
