I fail to see the significance.

Is it his own personal wealth that he is sharing?

If so, so what?

Unless there is something improper with giving to black churches then I can't see a problem.

They are pretty sizable donations/loans. It may not be illegal but it appears sleezy. And I liked the title so much I thought it would be fun to give it a bit of exposure. Note the following quote from the article:

"Blatant quid pro quo-ism," said Democrat Walter Fields, Jr., former political director of New Jersey's NAACP. "We have always had wealthy candidates running for office. What we have never had is that individual wealth being used in such a direct way, and somehow we're supposed to look the other way."

It's a very tight race. A few more of these types of stories could take him down another notch or two.

Yeah, nothing wrong with buying votes. The Demorats have been doing that with welfare for years. Get a life.

Let me first say that I have no problem with Corzine donating to black churches,BUT, he donated to Christ Church which is based in Montclair, NJ. This church has 5,000+ members, and is predominantly black. This church has purchased property in my town, 18 acres of prime real estate in an industrial area, once owner by Hewlett Packard.

The problem here is that Rockaway Township (my town) is heavy republican/conservative. The church wants to relocate and build on this new property and this will not only screw up the tax base for this small semi-rural town, but it is going to increase traffic, pollution, crime, the adjacent property values will go down, there are environmental issues, and there will be an increase in DEMOCRATS. What better way to screw over your political enemies? We don't have the money to fight them anymore, and now they are saying the township and out mayor/council for resisting them in the first place. We will now have to hire more police and firemen to deal with the influx of people.

The problem is not that they are black, but what they are going to be doing to our town. We do not want a church of any kind built there, we need the income. We are getting royally screwed by these people, and we have legitimate reasons for not wanting such a massive, tax exempt, building project going on here. It is just too much for us, and you know that if Corzine is donating to it, then it have political motives. This church and their high priced lawyers are race baiters, and they have accused us of opposing them on racial grounds. I can assure you this is not true at all. I will try and look up more articles on this, and post them if I can.

...."I fail to see the significance".......

Maybe he's laundering the money between the legs of a hot union steward(ess) that he's been banging on the side.
