Garland breezes through the 5th, going to the 6th and (probably) a new Astros pitcher.

The MLB boards are a sewer, IMO and Because MLB took over

I don't follow the mlb.com boards, but do check the team web site before just about every game. If I was at home, I'd have that Gameday live box up on the computer.

My big beef with mlb.com is that autoplay crap. I hate it that they suck up your bandwidth by streaming video without asking. I wrote them a nastygram explaining what a rude, ahole move it was for any website autoplay crap without asking.

Pisses me off so much that if it weren't for the great Gameday feature, I wouldn't go there at all.

Oswalt was certainly not the same pitcher tonight that I saw in two games against the Cards. He looked like Bob Gibson in his prime in those games. Not tonight.

I was wrong. Oswalt still out there to face 9-1-2 hitters.

Sure would be nice to not have to face Konerko with a man on base

I want a few more runs so Garland can go inside in the bottom of the inning.

He'll get booted, and so will Guillen.

I'd wager the HP ump warned both benches about beaning anybody.

What is wrong with these Astros fans? They're sitting there like they're shell-shocked. If this was the World Series (or even a regular season game) at Fenway Park in Boston, all 35,000 fans would be chanting - in unison - a deafening "Let's go Red Sox!!!"

I realize the Astro fans would sound louder with the roof closed, but come on... show a little life, people!

Oswalt got through the 6th easily, but is probably too tired to come back out. Ensberg, Lamb, and Lane due up for Houston.

Wow, I went to the kitchen at the bottom of the 4th, come back in the 5th, and the Sox go from a shutout to a 1 run lead!

Cool!

In the interview with Ozzie, Buck asked and Ozie said no.

I think toddlin is right. The warning is usually very public with umpire going to both dugouts. I'm sure they would have played this up on TV.

Regardless of who wins the series, I'll be happy.

On one hand, the Astros may never have been to a World Series, yet their organization has only been around since 1960.

Meanwhile, the White Sox organization was rooted at the beginning of the 20th Century and their last World Series was 1959.

Both teams have long dreamed about being where they're at for 40+ years.
