This has been nearly a blood bath since her name was first announced.
No it hasn't. This has been a spirited debate in the arena of ideas which is *exactly* what makes the Republican party *stronger*.
The debate over Meirs' nomination is nothing compared to the infighting that has fractured the Dems to the point of collapse. They can't agree on the economy. They can't agree on supporting the war.
Regardless of how the last few weeks have looked on the outside, the Republicans have not lost their "cohesiveness."
