well, look at it this way- if it's miers, it's doing the vetting, at least it's not the the poor deputy counsel who flubbed the vetting of miers herself.

There have been some pretty serious reports that Miers did not go through the regular White House vetting procedure ... she was just announced with that pathetic Trust Me rationale.
