I hope I do not see a continuation of some of the statements I heard by conservatives I greatly respect this time around the confirmation process.

Conservatives hold the upper hand on the issue of the Court IF we can correctly explain our views to the American people. I am not speaking of PR over substance, but the opposite. The substance sells. So simply, sell the substance of the role of the Court.

We did damage to our cause when we allowed the debate of Miss Miers to include mention of her personal beliefs, especially her religion. This is damaging to our cause of explaining our beliefs to the People. Our cause is the antithesis of this issue of personal beliefs. The law above personal belief is where we need to always stand. The law applied not created by justices on personal whims, beliefs, attitudes of what they like best on any given Tuesday.

We can not be drawn down this road again. It is placed on our shoulders to explain and inform to everyone that the law must be beyond personal opinions of all judges. We are all equal before the Law only when the Law is applied equally.

I do not care a nominee’s personal opinion on anything.

The law and the Constitution and their beliefs in those regards is all that matters.

Agreed, I don't want an activist on the Supreme Court. All laws in accordance with the strict interpretation of the Constitution of the United States and not what the world thinks or what some foreign government thinks.
