WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Citing a history of written opinions that consistently side with powerful special interests against ordinary Americans, MoveOn.org Political Action today opposed President Bush's nomination of Appellate Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.
MoveOn will mobilize its 3.3 million members in a campaign to urge Senators to oppose his confirmation.
"By nominating someone who regularly sides with big corporations against the rights of ordinary Americans, the President chose a man who passes all of the right-wing litmus tests," said Ben Brandzel, advocacy director of MoveOn.org Political Action.
"Many of Alito's opinions as an Appellate Judge were so extreme that he was reversed and rebuked by his colleagues. But on the Supreme Court, joining with fellow extreme right-wingers, Scalia and Thomas, he could do real damage," Brandzel added.

Looks like Alito has all the right enemies...

My kind of guy!!
This should be from the U.S. SNOOZEwire!
MoveOn complaining about "Powerful Special Interests"?
Takes one to know one.
We've got the fight we wanted. We're going to win.
Life is good.
LOL!
No. That would be expecting too much.
I'm sure the investigation of his family has begun.
The more I hear the left going nuts over this, the more I believe the President made a good decision.
So I take it the moonbats supported the Kelo decision?
Yeah right.
I noticed the sun came up in the east again this morning.
I tried to watch Schumer's diatribe against Alito on Fox this morning. One could have gotten very drunk should one be so inclined to have taken a drink every time he said "in the mold of Sandra Day O'Connor".
