Paris - The mayor of a tough Paris suburb near the epicentre of the urban violence raging across France declared an "exceptional curfew" on his municipality starting on Monday night. The curfew, decided by conservative mayor Eric Raoult of the northeast suburb of Raincy, was the first to be imposed in France since rioting broke out in the neighbouring suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois on October 27.

It only took him 12 days. Is there a pool on when the surrender is?

If it is near the epicenter then this is about 12 days late. Nice to see they are right on top of things.
What is needed here is about a dozen UN resolutions. That would shut these protests right down, right? RIGHT?
Oh, and I want to see scores of Amnesty International monitors in there making sure the police don't get out of hand with the rioters. After all, they have civil rights.

Mayor Blanco?........... I think you have combined Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin into one supra-incompetent, fraudelent, lackluster politician.
France deserves nothing less. Good work.

To: HAL9000

This mayor is a member of the President's political party, and is the head of a town called Raincy.

That's right. From now on, all non-Muslims will be required to be indoors after sundown and observe fasting during Ramadan.

Amazing isn't it. I'd imagine that if any US city went up in smoke in this day and age, that we'd have a curfew the next night!

What is needed here is about a dozen UN resolutions. Massive, coordinated and repeated resolutions.
