Thanks. Prop 74 wouldn't get a yes from me if I was close to getting tenure. You work X number of years and you're almost there, then you have to work five more. I wouldn't like that. Prop 75 gets a yes from me. And I don't live in Cali. Not sure how I'd vote on 76. Probably the natural distrust for politicians. I'd be wary of #77. The potential for extreme gerrymandering of districts smacks of favoritism. Here in Memphis, that was done. Some districts look like digestive tracts. They make no apparent sense.

Prop. 77--districts must be approved by voters also.

To me, this is the biggest no-brainer of the bunch--the gerrymandering is completely undermining democracy. What the judges do couldn't be any worse.

It's cute that teachers think they should be unfireable at a certain point but the rest of the country can get fired at any time. All this prop says is that they should be evaluated for five years instead of just two before being set for life. And 77 is trying to deal with the extreme gerrymandering we currently have.

That's how I see it, make them spend themselves into the ground.

I agree. Keep at it and wear the b*st*rds down.

It's not college or university tenure, but public school, K-12. Why would a teacher teaching an established curriculum even need tenure? Tenure should be reserved to universities where those on the edge of knowledge or insanity need some protection. In public schools? Nope!

Why would university professors need tenure either?

The answer to that question is above my pay grade, Ma'am.
