It would have been more appropriate to remind people of the short link between Kaine and Osama Bin Laden.

I wholeheartedly agree. Kilgores cartoon ads (Kaine sitting at a table gobbling everything up) were childish and insulting toward the electorate (as were Byrne's bobblehead Bolling ads, I'm glad she lost). While Kilgore was right in pointing out Kaines death penalty views, the Hilter ads were over the top. Kaine turned them around and almost made it look like he was being persecuted for his religion (although his "faith" didn't stop him from being pro-abortion, pro-partial birth abortion, and anti-parental notification).
