Whoa! For as *Brilliant* as I am and as worldly as I am (lol)- I had no idea such a thing existed. My husband is laughing at me for that.....I asked him if he knew about it and he said-"Yes-where have you been?" I so want to go next year.

I am really in awe. Very cool. You look exactly like a friend of mine. But there is no way my friend can fly a fishing rod -let alone a plane. Thanks for the photos!

It's great your kids had the day off.
Thank you so much for this thread today. I shed a few tears while looking at the pics and listening to the music. It's amazing.
I thought a lot today about my dad, my father-in-law, a special friend, and another high school friend who was killed in Iraq this summer. Your work truly warmed my heart this morning.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. Godspeed to him. Thank you for the kind words. Truthfully I spent most of the week this week on a sentimental journey and it was moving for me to work on this thread. Taking the time to learn about our Veterans is so enriching. I found myself thinking about my relatives who were veterans. I wish I knew then what I know now-so I could have thanked them better for their dedication.

Thank You!
Today is designated as a day to honor and give thanks to our Veterans.
In my heart, and in the hearts of thousands if not millions, EVERY day is Veterans Day.
Without the men and women who have served our country over the years, we would live in an entirely different world.........one I doubt any of us would like.
Saying thank you never seems like enough but it's all I have to offer.....that and my unwavering support for our military.
