I've posted some before and the kids were taken across state lines. Kidnappers sometimes come into an area from somewhere else...they aren't just local incidents in many cases.
This has to be a very big shock. Pillar is a Christian group and so as soon as I heard it I had a feeling it was not going to be the avg pedophile that had taken her. This is terrible.

David G. Ludwig killed 14-year-old Kara Beth Borden's parents after they and their daughter argued about her curfew, police said. The girl was last seen Sunday morning at the family's home in Warwick Township, about 60 miles west of Philadelphia.

Some of it has to do with motherly instinct.
Christians are humans too. And sometimes Christians are bad news, or their kids.
I have a neighbor who is very Bible oriented Christian. She has one disabled daughter and an older girl. The older one is sneaky and violent. The mom spends tons of time and energy taking care of the little one so the older one has problems that she doesn't see or doesn't want to.
Although we used to be close, a few incidents caused us to pause. I thank the Dear Lord that nothing has happened so far. I have heard from other mothers in a homeschooling group that I don't belong to, this girl is getting worse.
Just what Pennsylvania needs -- another missing blonde girl so that the talking heads can speculate about which minority group was responsible for abducting her and murdering her parents, before the authorities can develop meaningful evidence to counter the hysteria.
I think that for the most part when something is done by someone who claims to be a Christian that the person had a false conversion, of the mind but not the spirit. Backsliding is always possible but if there has never been fruit evident in their life it's cause for question.
My son was attacked by some other boys the other day at a church event. Thank God it was over quickly and he wasn't injured badly. Unfortunately those boys were allowed to stay for the remainder of the event with a stern warning. I was called at the time of the incident due to my son's injury but the other parents were not called and that was wrong. So we have to deal with the situation with our church leaders this week. I learned last night that some girls had jumped a girl at church some weeks previous. We are living in perilous times!

You're right. All parents should be held responsible for their children.
I have it at my church too. We do Slovak dance and one family has six of the dancers. Because of that, the littlest can do anything. She has hit my daughter twice. We keep a good eye on these children.

From what I've heard, police are admitting she may have left with him willingly (still kidnapping as she's 14 and he's 18).
I am beginning to suspect the girl has a role in this whole thing.
She's just 14, and we don't know what is going thru her mind today. She is in grave danger with this guy, in part because there is no way out for either of them.

This is my worry. IF the girl went along willingly, she may by now have remorse and is scared and hysterical. Does not bode well.

I have a really bad feeling about this one, and I suspect from the comments by the police they do too.
