In case anyone missed it, the GOP Congressmen stayed up late last night and worked to pass the Budget Reduction Act of 2005 much to the chagrin of Negative Nancy Pelosi and her crew. Anyway, incase you missed it, here is what the Speaker released, although his floor statement was powerfully moving.

This is precisely the sort of thing the Republicans must do. They must make the dems vote WHAT THEY REALLY BELIEVE, time after time after time. No longer can Pelosi be allowed to get away with complaining about "deficits" when what she is really speaking about isn't cutting spending, but rather, increasing spending and increasing taxation even further.

Go get Repubs, even if the bill falls waaaay short of what is really needed, at least it puts the dems money where their mouths are.

the MsM is spinning it as "cuts"

its a reduction of increased spending.

a cut would be to decrease spending. not just remove the increase and leaving it at the same level of spending.

MsM is making it look like big bad republicans are stopping children from having hot lunches in schools, and taking families off of food stamps.

the MSM is a joke .... all we are doing is denying the raise the poor gets next year... we are denying the people who refuse to work in this country, their annual raise... the parasites who dont contribute to this country in the first place....

but leave it up to the MSM to spin it.

We won a big fight.

We got the majority of the cuts.

We also exposed posers on the GOP side.

We will replace these jerks with conservatives.

We will get ANWR in 2007.

I stayed up to watch this. It was a long night, but ultimately somewhat rewarding.

The senate was also up late passing the tax bill, fighting off plan after plan to gouge the oil companies/consumers of oil to pay for more pork.
