Beautiful threat.

Too bad we always cave-in.

The Republicans cave-in to the RATs on the budget, nuclear option, and every other issue that comes up. I am sure we will threaten and cave-in here. But , at least it is a nice threat.

A better approach is to simply withdraw from the UN and order it out of New York. It is strictly an anti-American body. The UN weakens the United States; there has never been and will never be any major resolution from the UN that will strengthen the United States. The United States is looked upon as a great sponge that the rest of the UN members squeeze every time they want US dollars for this and that, for Africa, for Charity, for the IMF, for the World Bank, for corrupt dictators, . . .

Just get out of the UN and initiate treaties with nations worth having treaties with. Just do it!

"And what makes it worse is their total ineffectiveness."

Did you catch that $3.6 Billion for "peacekeeping"? The UN is a global joke yet they still corner the market on gall. Hands out and mouths running all the time.

"When it can be purchased for 22 cents on the dollar? I'd take the Texan way."

Why would you want to "buy" an international crime ring for 22 cents on the dollar?

Thats 22 cents on the dollar of good money after bad.

The UN can not be "reformed" any more than any other tyrant or dictator can be.

They corner the market on gall, and take orders from Gaul.

Kick them out of NY and let them set up shop in Haiti or someplace they can try to do something productive. You know, other than run up parking tickets.

Bolton, his blunt remarks...

Nope, no editorializing there! On the other hand, the fact that Bolton has this reporter's head spinning out of its socket makes me glad!

That is true. The Senate was bunch of morons who think that if we talked to the bad guys instead of using common sense there would have been no Emporer Palpatine.

What is it going to take to get us out of the United Nations?

Why would you leave the security of America up to the United Nations.

I personally believe that the oil for food program money help finance the terriorist that did 9/11 in New York

Annan told reporters on Monday that member states need to approve a two-year budget by the end of this year so they knew what they had to pay and his staff could plan properly.

Yes, indeed, he may have to think of paying his son and his other oil-for-food compatriots.

Maybe we could get Al Queda to blow up the U.N.?

Al Quada considered it for the 9/11 attacks and decided against it.....they seemed to have viewed the UN in a "positive" light....which tells you alot of the U.N.

"And if you do not do that ... you may create a serious financial crisis for the organisation," he cautioned.

Earth to Coffee: if you don't get your act together and push through and truly IMPLEMENT a massive reform project then you WILL have "a serious financial crisis for the organisation" when the US declines to pay nearly 1/4 of your budget. Stop with the business-as-usual crap and get with the program!

As for this group of 77, it merely sounds like all the most corrupt freeloaders of the world don't want their little fiefdoms disturbed. Tough!! Glad we have Bolton there, but I don't know that there's any real hope for adequate reform in the UN cesspool......

Maybe we could move our UN building to a Southern state, in some nice little holler.
