LOL, A freshman Senator calls for the POTUS to take the politics out of the debate, when every senior member of his Party has been politicizing the war since the day Hillary waddled her fat ass out on the floor of the Senate waiving her (Most Likely Stolen) copy of the New York Post that had a headline that read "BUSH KNEW" as she screeched out her call for the POTUS to tell her "What did he know, and when did he know it"
The Democrats are digging a hole that is now reaching below rock bottom. Barak Obama is being used, he has a safe seat and the DEM leaders figure he can recover from this nonsense he is spewing

Last time I heard from Obama he was sent to campaign for Byrd's jeopardized Senate seat.
For all hype about this guy, he doesn't seem to have been able to parlay it into power. He gains absolutely no traction. Good or bad. I've listened to him, fluff speeches. He doesn't seem to come across as speaking more than general rhetoric. For a guy that was to be the new JFK Jr. I'm not, so far, impressed.
I'd agree with your reasoning why he was trotted out.
