why "Tweety"?
Don't know... doesn't sound flattering, though..
"Why 'Tweety'?"
It's short for Tweety Bird. Tweety Bird has yellow feathers and Chris Matthews sort of looks like him. I saw this reference to him back in the late 90's, on a leftist web site.
