But beyond that, is the issue that some of these people might not understand they have choice to accept or not the doc's recommendations.

And that is where the real problem is. There is a myth that doctors can do no wrong and that you are not allowed to argue with them or tell them no. But now in our litigous society it is okay cause if things get screwed up then you can just sue them. I believe that is the case here. I am very sorry that this young girl died but it appears that her parents blindly followed what the doc suggested, no questions asked. If that is indeed the case, then they have no one to blame but themselves.

I think we understand here.
That goes back to my point of we all approach these things from different places.

We see the little man behind the curtain and they don't.

Therefore I cant reach the same conclusion that you do on this one. Are you with me there?
