WASHINGTON, Nov 28 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on President Bush's speech this afternoon in Arizona on immigration:
"What we need is not another photo-op, but real leadership. Democrats have worked hard, over the opposition of Republicans, to provide additional resources to the vital task of keeping America safe. Real border security, however, cannot be accomplished in isolation; it must be accompanied by bipartisan and comprehensive immigration reform.
"As we have learned from the President's previous forays to Jackson Square and the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, photo- ops cannot substitute for action or the President's inability to keep promises due to his weakened political standing. The latest plan by the President falls short by providing an unrealistic approach to temporary workers. It will not provide the reform that he promised.
"Democrats support comprehensive, bipartisan, and realistic immigration reform that will keep us safe, protect American workers, and reunite families."

Actually this sort of mindless, planless criticism could actaully shame the Republicans into doing something.
No, but if she did, it would involve legalizing ad-hoc immigration from south of the border, and letting all persons who were born in Mexico and resident in the US vote in all US elections (without even a green card required.)
I haven't seen her do anything for California. It is the Democrats that refuse to cut the purse strings and refuse to do anything regarding the illegals. They use them for illegal votes and walk around egg shells not to offend them.
Pelosi couldn't bake cookies if her life depended on it, too complicated. She's so dumb and ugly she couldn't get laid in a cathouse.
It wouldn't matter if President Bush stood up and announced he has found the cure for cancer...
