Some interesting and some not so interesting. The 68 democrat convention makes an appearance twice.

The one I didn't see on the list was from Johnny Carson who had the guest, Ed Ames (Mingo from Daniel Boone Show, IIRC) showing Johnny how to throw a tomahawk. He through it at an outline of a body, and it hit the target in the crotch. Johnny lost it.

I didn't see Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction listed.
And if this qualifies: "22 '88 VICE-PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE BENTSEN TO QUAYLE: " ... AND SENATOR, YOU'RE NO JACK KENNEDY." (10/5/88)"
Why shouldn't..."I did not have sex with that woman."

I would have thought Sinead O'Connor ripping up the Pope's photo on SNL would have made it.

What about Susan Sarandon's Oscar tirade that got her banned from the Oscars for several years?

I didn't check the whole list, but it seems like John Kennedy getting his head blown off on national television and the Oswald killing should be in the top five.

How could they forget the naked streaker who ran past David Niven on the Emmy Awards Show?
Also, there was the Florida newscaster, or talk show hostess, can't remember which, who committed suicide on air by blowing her brains out.
Both of these occurred in 1974 or 75.

Missing:
Space shuttle Challenger explosion.
Apollo 13 coverage. I don't know how much it was covered on live tv, but it was an event where anything could happen.
The second airplane hitting the World Trade Center
To: Dane
Actually the most unexpected moment was when everyone was watching the burning World Trade Center Tower when a plane flew into the other tower.

Bttt reminder.
Two I think of, both from CNN,
Raid to take Elian Gonzales when his relatives were steamrolled over and sprayed like cockroaches.
CNN crew enters Tikrit before our troops. Ends up shooting their way out.

Zell Miller (number 72) on Chrissie Matthews' show was incredible and yes I was one of the few who watched it live.
Scanning the list quickly, I didn't see Sammy Davis Jr's kiss to Archie Bunker.

I would've ranked Radar revealing Henry Blake's death higher than 15th....Absolutely, no one (including the cast)saw that one coming, and it was emotionally devestating. It was one of the few television moments I've experienced where I felt I was in shock.
Speaking of which, did I miss Rosalind Shays falling down the elevator shaft on L.A Law?
