The news wires are reporting that the pressure applied by a group of Senators, including John Rockefeller, has induced the FBI to further investigate the matter

He made sure the issue wasn't discussed during the Senate investigation of pre war intelligence due to the ongoing FBI investigation.

Anybody know why the investigation was dropped. Wonder if Rockefeller was just buying time?

It's about time....looks like this will show the Wilsons' and the CIA were working to take down the Bush Administration will be exposed....finally.

However, I find it curious John Rockefeller is in on getting this investigation going. Does he think Cheney is part of it? Which is what's been flying around the net. He'll find a totally different set of circumstances. Which will blow the lid off many on the left, IMHO.

Those findings concerned some members of the Senate Intelligence Committee after published reports that the FBI had not interviewed a former Italian spy named Rocco Martino, who was identified as the original source of the documents. The committee had requested the initial investigation.

Freepers have known about little Rocco for months. And the FBI never even interviewed him? Useless. Utterly useless.
