Yahoo! McCain is standing up for putting truthful stories in Iraqi papers. He points out that it's a propaganda war and we need to fight it too. This means the Pubbies are not backing down on this issue and will not be doing grovelling apologies.

I've got a question for Sen. McKeating...er, McCain: If it's truthful, why do you call it propaganda?

I am surprised I thought he would be "saddened" that the US had resorted to such tactics because that diluted the value of the story. I am pleased and surprised he has shown backbone there. Though my previous comment about Vietnam might have a bearing.

McCain is standing up for putting truthful stories in Iraqi papers We absolutely need to tell our side of the story.
If we don't do it, we will be in the same situation Bush is in today because he has gone for years without responding to the barrage of lies from the MSM and his lying, vicious political opposition.
Passivity gives the oft-repeated lies of the enemy validity and eclipses the true accomplishments. The truth does not always win without a champion.
