Anybody know more about this? I actually suspected this was happening at the time because opposition to the war was ramping WAY up for no apparent reason. I'll bet this secret campaign was just too effective!

What a crock! How about a link to an article that doesn't require $100 to read?

Normal Debka caveats apply.

When the last potentially electable Democrat has blown their wad on GWB, the WMD's will come to light in Syria. Keep in mind the heads up from Sen. Rockefeller post 9/11/2001, and the actual US invasion of Iraq in March 20, 2003. Plenty of time to move everything to Bathist Syria. Thanks, Democrats!

Private citizens form Saudi Arabia entered Iraq and Afghanistan to kill Americans. Iran sent in military explosives and advisors and killed Americans. Syria sent in terrorists and materials to kill Americans. One of Iran's leaders helped in the taking of the American Embassy in Iran. Syria has been active in terrorism for decades. The US Military has been very restrained in their actions.

This is the same article that was posted last week from DEBKA. The sources are suspect.

Us winning appears to be outside the Rats playbook. Now by their definition the war on terror is limited to Iraq where there was no problem? How about for the 2006 elections we actually take out some of these enemies instead of surrender. I bet that would put a twist in their depends.

I saw this earlier today. Coincident?

Syria accuses US of launching lethal raids over its borders.

Try a little logic here:

We watch terrorist come across the Syrian border and attack our troops and the Iraqi people.
We watch them head back across and give chase.
We kill them on the Syrian side of the border.
Syria complains.
We tell them "TOUGH!", Do something to STOP TERRORISTS coming across your borders, if you don't like us doing it!

If this happened, the Congress would be voting to take away funds from the Iraq campaign. The Usual Dimspects would be on CNN raging against this "illegal incursion", and Bush would apologize "if" it happened, promise to look into it, then court martial anyone below the rank of major involved.
