"...Mexico, the largest supplier of undocumented workers, is going to run out of workers to send to the U.S., and this will begin to be apparent in 15 years, said Ricardo Guerra Carrillo, the adjunct general director of the Institute for Mexicans in the Exterior (IME) in Mexico City."
Maybe we can help Mexico avoid this impending disaster?

I thought it was already the law that employment of illegal aliens would have resulted in stiff penalties. But apparently I was wrong.
I can't believe what happening to our country.

(Demographic is destiny. Don't hire 3rd world illegal aliens nor support businesses that hire them.)

Congress had better put some teeth in the law and force Homeland non Security to hit employers hard nation wide or start looking for new employment!

If employing illegals means jail time for employers, then no employer will hire any hispanic, ever.
There is no way for employers to 'prove' that an ID
of any type is not a fake; and the risk is too great
to hire anyone of Mexican descent otherwise.

One of the best ways to make illegal workers unwelcome would be to sick the trial lawyers on the problem. Make employers who employ illegal immigrants liable for their debts, fines, and costs of their prosecution. Give whistle blowers and their lawyers a cut.
Lawyers can suck the life out of anything. Like a black hole nothing can escape. Not money. Not joy. Not hope. Sick those parasites on this problem and the open borders lobby will be screaming uncle faster than you can say "under the table."

Congress can't even make the illegal invasion of the USA in war time a felony....
The law's original sponsor Jimmy Sensenbrenner was convinced it would cause too much paper work and the illegal invaders would need public defenders...
WAR TIME? or aren't we really at war at all?

It works with U.S. Passports.

Considering the number of conviction cases per year, it looks like a saf bet.

No one needs to, one quick phone call (or Internet request) to Social Security can instantly tell if the person is legal to work here. Been in place for years, most maddening that they didn't even require this one simple phone call. Law going through congress now will make this step mandatory.

The laws are there, just not enforced.
I've worked construction for the past 25 years and have seen the INS on the job site once. More laws will not help, enforcement might.

There are a lot of jobs that only the illegals do, he said.I'm sick to death of this misleading mantra. It's all based on supply and demand. Many lower income people (citizens of this country) probably would take some of these jobs if they weren't competing with millions of illegal invaders. Economics, folks...as the supply of workers increases, wages go down.....and vice-versa.
While many of these jobs may not be the most suitable for the career minded, they would be certainly better paying as the legitimate pool of workers would be able to obtain a better salary.
There are many people in America today who want to work, but see potential jobs farmed out to foreign countries.
I think the penalties for employing illegal aliens should be very severe. Personal greed hurts fellow Americans. These employers are breaking the law, thumbing their noses at our sovereign borders, simply so they can save a few bucks. That duck doesn't hunt with me.

Fines were not a deterrent, Zuieback said. Companies really looked at them as a cost of doing business.Try jail.

Not as misleading as you would like to believe. We have become a spoiled lot.

That may be true, but I still think economics would prevail; many people have families to feed, and to some making a few more dollars an hour can make a huge difference. Any job is better than no job to many.
To: SwinneySwitch
The MSM conveniently skips the fact that the market can and will adjust to the loss of these "undocumented" workers. Perhaps our lawns won't be quite as pretty, perhaps lettuce will cost a bit more (because of higher pay and/or automation), perhaps our new houses will be a bit smaller, and most of all, perhaps Americans will step up to the jobs that we're told are beneath us (but which really aren't).
To: He Rides A White Horse
Part of the problem is the government pays entirely too well for them just to sit on their @ss. I've always considered 7% unemployment to be the lowest it will go. At 5%, where we are now, that 2% difference is about worthless.
May be different where you are.
