The execrable Fred Phelps and his "church" continue to disrupt the funerals of fallen soldiers across the country. Jim Hoft has the latest.
The good news is that veteran bikers of all political stripes have united to form the Patriot Guard Riders. Their mission:
We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don’t care what you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a "hawk" or a "dove". It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is. You don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

The whole family is a bunch of losers.He and his family were supposed to show up at a military funeral in my area.The Church was packed and outside about a dozen or so of us waited for Fred and friends.He was a "no show".We were warned that they might try to bait people(verbal abuse,spitting,etc)into an assault and battery.Turns out his daughter agreed not to protest(come to FL)if she got radio time on a local station.She got an hour on a local station.
The "Tony Soprano" elements in this country should be given a mission to Topeka, Kansas.
He's really lucky he hasn't been treated with a 150 gr. Pb suppository.
Anybody who disrupts a family funeral for a fallen military person should have a mudhole stomped in their ass.

I think his just showing up here would result in a severe ass-kicking.People in these parts have NO USE for a fool like him.
It would be so much easier if the whole Westboro Babtist cult would just drink the kool-aid or develop some hideous flesh-eating malady and stop polluting the earth with their deviant depravity.
There have been several funerals of late that Phelps' group planned to protest, but apparently did not....

Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church is completely independent and not affiliated with ANY Baptist Church. Basically, anyone can set up a Baptist church.
