Agree! The NYTimes sat on the story a full year because it compromised national security.

Then, when the Risen book was about to spring, Pinch and Keller decided it didn't...even after a face to face with President Bush. Dastardly.

DOJ has every right to interrogate the reporter and the editors. Perhaps we'll see NYT executives in the hoosegow for obstruction of justice.

A whistleblower must also limit the disclosure to a member of Congress or staff of the executive or legislative branch holding the appropriate security clearance and authorized to receive the information disclosed.

Whistle blower does not apply in this case because the leak was done to the NYT.

"I'm getting flamed today. I almost feel like a troll."

You wound up with Post 777...that must mean there are guardian angels with fire extinguishers flying around you... ;^)

You are VERY correct RITM, about the extent of the corruption of the media in general. Persevere, FRiend.

In the end, we SHALL overcome.

" Will the toxic Norah be carrying on for him this week? "

Norah just conducted a verbal beat down of a bunch of retired Generals convened on MSNBC to discuss Iraq.
Every question she posed was yelled and not asked.
If you turned down the volume, she wasn't so screechy, but, then you could not hear the guest's response.
All the Generals answered her questions calmly and cooly and resisted her antagonistic and aggressive behavior.
General Ancona seemed to be treating her like she was a crazy lady by responding to her loud and frantic interruptions in an especially moderated and slow pace.
She put the MS in MSNBC.

Whistle blower does not apply in this case because the leak was done to the NYT.

Plus it was top secret, classified information.

One source is doubtless Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife (whose name I don't know, and can't repeat anyway!), who shared with Joe in an intimate moment, who the turned around and discreetly informed any and all within earshot of his booming voice.

But it wasn't his fault. It was Bush's fault!

So there!

CA....

If you really are that determined...and I am sure you are, like we all are..

We need to make sure, that between now and when Congress comes back in January...that we all e-mail and even snail mail to our Congresscritters DEMANDING a full disclosure investigation..even the ones that have democrap congresscritters need to bombard the offices!

"The Times, which disclosed the program in a front-page story Dec. 16, said it withheld the article for a year in part because of a request from the Bush administration."

Interesting.. so the slimes decides to print it just when the Patriot Act is up for voting.. also, it states that it held up the story "in part.." and the other 'part' for holding up the story is that it may damn well be illegal to have printed it.

Fat Joe and Val have just been eclipsed.

Dear Mr and Mrs Wilson,

We are sorry to inform you that your 15 minutes of fame is now over.

We can provide you with no further support now that your usefulness is at end. Please feel free, however, to join Cindy Sheehan in increasingly embarrassing attempts to recapture a fleeting moment of celebrity.

Thanks,

The Democratic National Committee
