SALT LAKE CITY The Utah Court of Appeals is upholding a judge's refusal to dismiss a sexual abuse allegation against a 13-year-old Ogden girl who became pregnant by her 12-year-old boyfriend.

The appeals court on Friday ruled that the law's ``rigorous protections'' for younger minors include protecting them from each other.

The decision leaves the teens in the position of each being both a victim and a perpetrator in the same offense.

It is a creepy nation we are becoming. Laws are being made at a feverish pace to protect everyone from everything. They are also being misused and misapplied. Our fate lies in the hands of vigilante law makers and kooky judges. Sooner or later we are all going to be found guilty of something. The latest round in this madness brings about a never ending punishment Such as these children will now have to endure. The crime may have a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst case. But even those who commit the crime on a scale of 1 are punished as if it were a 10. And they can never be forgiven. They may repent and change there hearts. God may forgive them. But society never will. No chance of that.
